Keep up-to-date on news about times and dates for events and fundraising activities centered around the lake community and the Walled Lake Fireworks!

Walled Lake Civic Fund 2017 Fireworks will be on Saturday June 24th at Dusk!!
This year the Walled Lake Market Days and Beach Days will also be held on June 24th! Market Days hours are from noon until 8pm! Please contact Janell Joyce, with the city, at 248-624-4847 for vendor information. We will have a dunk tank again! Come out and dunk Walled Lake’s Mayor Linda Ackley! The Beach Days will start at 6pm and will include a beer tent and live entertainment form our local favorite band Power Play! Lets celebrate all day long in Walled Lake!

Walled Lake Memorial Day Parade May 29th

The WL Civic Fund will be participating in the Memorial Day parade again this year! The parade starts at 11am. Volunteers need to be there at 10am. Donations of wrapped candy are needed! Please no chocolate.

‘Around The World’ Progressive Party 

2017 Date is Saturday August 26th!

Around the World 2017 Details:

All funds are donations to the Civic Fund. All food and beverages are donations from the hosts of each stop.
Wristbands $25 donation per person – pre-event from RJ
Wrist bands are also available at each stop.
Every participant must have a wristband!
1st Stop – Condos – 11 am – siren blows at 1:15 pm – Enjoy a delicious brunch, Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas!
2nd Stop –  Dan & Mary’s – 1:30 pm – siren sounds at 4:30 pm– Yummy  food and Ice Cold Beverages!
Please contact Mary if you would like to donate food to this stop!
3rd Stop – Eddies Barrels of Wine  – 4:45 pm – siren sounds at sundown – Eddie is closing off his parking lot to party with us! He is having a BBQ and sharing  yummy shots! We appreciate his generosity and commitment to our community! Please park in front of Bayside and the store – not in front of the private condos next door -please be considerate to the residents!
4th Stop– Barge in Lake – Sundown  – In front of the park in Novi at 13 Mile –
Live music, keg of beer and pizza!
Again we appreciate everyone’s generosity and commitment to our community!

We are looking for locations for 2017/8. This is an important fundraiser and we would like to see it change to a couple of different locations each year! This allows the homeowners of the stops to take a year off and enjoy the event!

Rules of a Successful Event:
Rule #1 Safety First!
Rule #2 Everyone must have a wristband to participate!
Rule #3 You must be 21 or older to participate – no kids or animals please.
Rule #4 Boat Captains you are responsible for all guests on your boat. If anyone becomes unruly and are asked to leave the event you are going to be asked to leave with your guest.
Rule #5 Throw and set your anchor when you arrive at each stop and remember to pull your anchor up when you leave ☺.
Rule #6 Please don’t stand in groups on the docks – party on land or on your boat. Let’s make sure we don’t break any docks this year.
Rule#7 DO NOT tie your boat to a saw horse on a dock -only metal poles.
Rule#8 When the siren sounds please proceed to the next stop. There is a 15 minute travel time between stops.
Rule #9 Have fun!!!!

Prior fundraising events:

The 1st Annual Walled Lake Bass Fishing Tournament was June 12th 2016! Eighty registered anglers allowed the tournament to have some really nice cash pay outs! There was an opportunity for registered anglers to catch a $10k tagged prize fish, AND make a nice donation of $600.00 to the Walled Lake Civic Fund Firework Show!!

CAYA donated 10% of all sales on June 9th! Everyone who visited had a wonderful dinner and raised $300 for the WLCF. Thank you to Jeff and the team at CAYA for all of your support and donations!
